Born and raised in Dominican Republic. His last name "Wessin" has a big historical background. His grandfather Elias Wessin y Wessin was a famous Dominican politician and Dominican Air Force general. Wessin was responsible for the military coup which ousted the government of Dominican President Juan Bosch in 1963.
